A little snow

It was snowing when I got up today. It didn’t snow long and it didn’t stick to much of anything but at least it did snow briefly.  I wish we would get one really nice snow.  It’s been cold and bleah all day. Bleah all day except for the snow part. :p  I have been …. I don’t even know what I’ve been doing. Seriously. It’s been a long day.  I did remember to take a picture of the case on my MacBook Pro.  I was about to forget that, but I remember and here it is:

I love the colors, it’s what attracted me in the first place.  In the pictures it looked like there was a cut out at the Apple. In the ad pictures, it shows a bright white apple so I thought it was cut out.  I realized when looking back at the add after it had shipped that it does not have the cutout. D’oh!  It’s still gorgeous.  I wanted to write today and I haven’t. I might do that after posting this.  I’ve had a migraine for several days. This is day three, so I might not be able to come up with a good day’s work.  We’ll see.  I need to do my French too as I’ve forgotten all about it.  I got the last of the Starubkcs holiday cards I ordered. I now have the complete set of 2020 holiday cards! ^_^ 

By the way, this is the picture on the listing. Do you see why I thought it had the cutout? 😐

Ahhh!

I’m so tired! It has been a very long day and I am going to be glad to crash in my bed asap!  I remembered the things I forgot that I bought at the thrift store.  I found two pairs of pajama bottoms.  I love sleep shorts and I wear mine until they completely wear out. It’s hard to find sleep shorts in the thrift store, but you can find pajama bottoms easily. I just cut the legs off any bottoms I find and make them into sleep shorts. It works for me!

I didn’t do much of anything today because I was waiting on a package for my friend.  He had the shipment re-directed to come here and I waited on it all day. It never came. ~_~; Now it says they’ll deliver tomorrow. D’oh!  I got an envelope in my mailbox today.  It was four of the holiday Starbucks cards that I ordered. Yay! I am happy to add them to my collection! ^_^

D’OH I have the dumb!

I got several of the Starbucks cards that I ordered from eBay today.  Four envelopes with goodies.  I went to leave feedback and noticed that one order ios not showing for feedback.  I went and looked and the stuff is still in my cart at eBay. D’OH!  It was one seller from whom I was buying six different cards from.  Well, I went in and deleted two since I was able to get them at Starbucks yesterday and I ordered the four I needed. I also ordered a multipack.  I only have more multipack to order and I’ll do that next month.  I’ll have every holiday card released this year. Yay!  One person was nice enough to send a holiday-themed gift card holder too! Awesome. :). I love adding to my collection!  I am going to have to get a bigger binder or split the cards into two binders.  There are so many of them. I am trying to decide how to divide them.  Maybe I’ll do all the plastic cards in one and then the new ‘paper’ cards in the other binder.  They are not in order of release for the most part. The later ones are, but the earlier ones are all jumbled up in there.  I also want to figure out a way to keep the other type. I have them in a binder, too, but it’s busting at the seams. lol. The other types of ones are multipacks, die cuts, special ones, etc.  I might get a box to keep those in.  I haven’t decided yet.  I keep all my extra regular cards in a snap-lid box.  Maybe I can get a larger one for the bigger card/packs.  Hmmm…. remember I told you I found a Radio Shack branded disk organizer case at the Salvation Army thrift store? I wonder if that would work. That would be so cool if they’ll fit! I’m going to try it. 🙂

Most of them fit, but there are too many of them. Sadly, I already took them out of the binder.  I will find something similar to this disk container and it will be perfect. I CAN fit many in this and I probably will. The bigger ones, I’ll find something else and I’ll just use both.  Here is when I started and I was hopeful.

Wow!

I finally sat down and worked on that part of my latest story and boy did I improve it a LOT.  It's so much better.  I went to mail off the few holiday cards I prepared last night. I got in line at the post office behind a lady at the dropbox.  She opened her door, got out, put her arm in the box, looked in, put her arm in the box again and I just sat there like this. @_@?  She gets out and goes around and drops the mail in the back and finally gets back in her car and pulls off.  As soon as I got up to the box, I see the issue. It's so full that it isn't even going down the chute!  I just left and went to a free-standing box somewhere else and mailed my cards. I have never seen a box stuffed so damn full!  I wonder when they emptied it last?   I was able to get Starbucks while out and I actually went inside and got all of the Christmas cards they had! Well, everything but the multipacks.  I came home and looked and I was just a few short of having all the cards.  I ordered the ones I was missing on eBay so I'll have the complete set. Yay! I'm quite pleased.  The only bad thing is that I ran out of the little plastic card pages I put them in!  I need to go to Office Max and get another pack.  My collection is really growing.  I realized that I missed quite a bit this year because of Covid, but I hope to get those on eBay eventually!

It was nifty being in Starbucks. I hadn't been in the store since March or earlier!  They have all the seating marked off so there was nowhere to sit and stay.  I hadn't planned to anyway.  I will be happy when things get back to normal! I miss being about to go in there and just sit and enjoy some time out. I noticed as I was out today that the city has salted the streets.  We are under a winter weather advisory. I think it will probably just be rain and that will be it.  I would love to see some snow, but I know that isn't going to happen. 😦

Starbucks to start off the month right.

Well, the drink was good, but the ordeal I had getting it.  Let me tell you.  They were busy as usual so I drove around the building to get in line.  Some old hag in a truck came and pulled up from the other side and got right in front of me.  I was not amused but I went ahead and got behind her.  Of course she was smoking. ~_~: I'm glad I didn't have to run the vent.  I kept my window up until I could get to the order box.

This is when the next bit of drama happened.  I ordered a Venti peppermint white mocha with caramel brulee sprinkles instead of the chocolate sprinkles.  This caused some confusion.  I think the girl taking the order was new.  I've ordered this before with no issues. I'm not one to get mad at the baristas, so I just patiently waited while she sorted it out.  She finally got it straight (she asked if I had said frappuccino, no I had not) and I went up in line.  Of course, the old hag in front of me had to order something that took forever.  

I finally get to the window and the girl takes my Starbucks card and I tell her it's with stars. That goes smoothly and she hands me my drink.  It's a peppermint white mocha all right. Only, she gave me a grande instead of a venti! :(. After everything that had happened, I just took it with a smile and went on my way.  It was delicious in any case.  I did not want the line to get any longer.  When I left, they were back further than they had been when I got in line so I was doubly glad I didn't get it fixed. I deployed a Munzee while I was out and then headed home.  

I wrote some on my other story tonight. I have some ideas of some other stories running around in my head.  These are old and much-loved characters so I am happy to get back to them.  

Halloween card!

I needed a few things at Target tonight so I went over there.  They weren't busy at all and it was so nice to be able to wander around without people everywhere.  I got the item I needed and several other goodies.  I found a really cool huge pack of Post-it notes for $10.  I bought them.  I won't have to buy Post-its for a loooong time unless I find more really good sales. lol Here is the pack:

I checked the Starbucks in Target before leaving and I found two cards I didn't have AND they have the new Halloween card. It's glow in the dark, too!  I was so glad to get one.  I wanted it. before I knew it was glow in the dark. I wanted it even more after finding that out. It's cute too! Here are the three cards I was able to get:

I'm happy with my finds.  Before going to Target, my friend and I went to an auto parts store to get an air filter for Goontz. When I was getting my oil changed, they told me that I had no air filter!  I don't know how the hell that happened, but I have one now.  

Starbucks cards!

I got two orders of Starbucks cards today from the same seller.  They are the fall collection and one summer card.  When I got cards at the beach, I was only able to find two of the fall ones.  I had the "You're My Fave" and "Fall Sweet Fall" but not the other ones.  I am happy to add these to my collection!

I think I forgot to mention that right when I got back from the beach, I got the set of Starbucks cards I ordered. I forgot to mention them or show them off.  It was the alphabet collection from 2014.  There are 26 cards. Each has a letter on it A-Z.  I love growing my collection!

While I was putting this latest batch in my binder, I went to organize the extra two cards and made a bit of a filing system for the extra cards I have.  So far, I've only done the old all plastic cards. I'll get to the paper ones next.  I did it like them by year from 2011 on.  I have any from 2004-2010 in the front (I don't have many) and then I have each year.  That way when I get cards, I can keep them organized by year. It will also help if I ever trade cards.  I can find them much quicker by just looking at that years cards!

Saturday Evening post

We went out and ate at Denny's.  We were going to eat at Victoria's but they are closed on the weekend.  We forgot and went there first. D'oh!  Oh well, Denny's was delicious. Look at this chicken sammich!

It was delicious!  We left there and went to a Starbucks we missed yesterday. We've been to it twice this trip already. lol. I found a few things.  After that, I got to go to a brand new Starbucks!  I've never been to this one before so that was cool! It's really nice inside, too.  I got another tumbler. ^^;  Well, I had an offer to spend so much and get bonus stars and the tumbler and the drink put me well over the amount. Plus, I have another tumbler. I also got two cards I didn't find at the other Starbucks!

I still need to get in my beach walk and then I'm not sure what I'm doing.  I'm really tired as my sleep was horrible last night.  I hope to sleep soundly tonight. I'm not sure what we are doing tomorrow.  I still haven't made it to the pier. I have to check to make sure it's open on Sunday! If it is, I'll probably attempt it tomorrow. 🙂

 

Tuesday evening post

So, we went out and ate at Victoria's Country Cookin'.  It's one of our favorite places to eat down here.  We went to three Goodwills after that.  I found some goodies at all three!  My friend got a shake at Cookout and while he was in line, I walked over to Starbucks and got some Starbucks. I also was able to pick up a bunch of cards. Yay! :)  It's always nice to get new cards.

I found a Fossil wristlet at one of the Goodwill stores, I found a Starbucks tumbler at another.  It is missing its lid, but it was in good condition.  I got various other things at each place. It was a pretty good haul!

We also went to Food Lion while out and go some drinks and some food and snacks for the room.  We are set for a while. We are going to order pizza later from Hungry Howie's. Yum!

A big oops!

I didn't post for two days.  I totally meant to post yesterday to make up for not posting on Tuesday and then I realized it was two minutes to midnight and it wasn't going to happen!  I'll post now though.  I received my latest Starbucks find in the mail.  This is the second time I had to order it.  The first one from another seller never came.  I couldn't put in a claim on it because with informed delivery, I thought it was here.  It wasn't. It was something else and I had already canceled my "I didn't get it claim" So, I found one from another seller and bought it.  This is the card in  question:

It's a nice one and I was happy to add it to my collection. The lovely seller sent a couple of extra cards because they didn't mail it out the same day.  Pretty cool, yet?  I have both of the extra ones, but only one of each so it will be nice to have the backups.

As for life, I haven't really done anything exciting. Life has been boring since the beach.  So, so boring. Ahhhh.
